Choose the right record
Section titled “Choose the right record”| Record | Use it for | Finishing it means |
|---|---|---|
| Task | Preparing a storyboard, collecting references or arranging a shoot. | The supporting work is marked Done. |
| Deliverable | A film, design or other output with versions and reviews. | Its review and acceptance state comes from the delivery workflow. |
Marking a task Done never approves a deliverable. Project homes display completed tasks and accepted deliverables separately.
Create and update a task
Section titled “Create and update a task”- Choose New task in Today, a client home or a project home.
- Enter a Task title. Add notes, owner and due date as needed.
- Check the client/project context before saving. Starting from a project carries that context into the draft.
- Set Task status to To do, In progress, Waiting or Done.
- Choose Save task.
Open a task from Today or the project’s Work section to edit it later. Use the owner picker’s Assign to me for your own linked identity.
For a quick change in Today, choose Owner, Date or Status on the task row, change the field and choose Save task. If someone else saved first, review their current task before choosing Keep my edit. In this inline editor, that choice keeps only the field you are changing and uses the reviewed values for everything else.
Example
Section titled “Example”“Collect reference frames” is a task for the fictional North Pier launch film. “Launch film first cut” is a deliverable. Completing the reference task does not mean the first cut has been reviewed or accepted.
Current limits
Section titled “Current limits”Tasks can belong to the workspace, a client or a project. They are not automatic reminders, recurring schedules or dependencies. Bulk editing is not available in this release.
Deliverables retain their existing version and review workflow. Read Files, versions and reviews before treating a file upload as acceptance.
